A page is a good scale for thinking about viva prep.
- A plan for getting prep done can fit on a page.
- A page of questions is a reasonable amount when you meet with your supervisor.
- A list of key references can fit comfortably on a page.
- A page is a nice canvas for writing a summary, plotting an overview or deciding how you’ll annotate your thesis.
- And a page can be a good space for capturing contributions you’ve made to your research field.
If ever you think “I need to do something” for viva prep then think about how you might usefully spend half an hour filling a page with something – then go do it!
